it's party time...

I hope you've all been busy checking out the party over at shimelle.com and soaking up all the inspirational projects that have been appearing there as if by magic all weekend. I was totally psyched when Shimelle asked me to come and play with all the other *cool kids* at her party. Julie created a lovely project this morning featuring a highly elegant photo of me running away from the sea in my lovely new white leather boots after our day trip to Whitby last week. :D
So, the challenge was set and the bar well an truly raised so here is my little contribution to the party - a little different to a bunch of flowers...

Lately I seem to have a *love and obsession* with takeout boxes, there is just something deliciously appealing about them, maybe it is the tasty party goodness that can be hidden inside!

This little box of wonder was made with a set of printables which are available exclusively as part of a new online class Go to Press which starts on this Monday over on Two Peas in a Bucket .
I simply printed out the sheet of printables (as common sense would dictate) and cut out the ones I wanted to use. The 'simple pleasures' band was edged with a scallop edge punch from Stampin' Up! and the other embellishments were cut into strips to make paper ribbons, folded and then mounted onto a scalloped circle to make my own flower. Finally I finished the whole thing off with a label saying 'I made this' - nothing like a bit of shameless self promotion!
Hope you enjoy, and don't forget to get back to the party at shimelle.com for some other lovely eye candy and maybe even some cake!
yum!

So pretty! I love the cross-stitchy strips, and red+aqua is one of my very favourite colour combos.

Really happy to have discovered your (new) blog, although my wallet would be grateful if you waited a while before posting any more heavenly shoes, ok?!

:)

Hiya Sarah, thanks for the comment. The box is a Sizzix Big Shot die - very useful for party favours! :D

Lovely project! Just perfect for storing lots of tiny banana-nut muffins. Now where would I get my hands on some of those .....? ;)
