UK Stampers art journal challenge week 6...

Sorry I'm late this week folks, I don't seem to have had two minutes to sit down, let alone get anything made or blogged. But better late than never; Week 6 of the UK Stampers Art Journal challenge:

[Week 6: Friends. Lyrics by Baz Luhrmann]

This weeks challenge was to create a page about friends, use a stencil and use a memorable friend story.
I have a bit of an obsession with the Baz Luhrmann song, Sunscreen. It's one of the few songs that really says something to me and I have been meaning to use it in a project since forever.
'Understand that friends come and go, but for the precious few you should hold on, work hard to bridge the gaps in geography and lifestyle because the older you get the more you need the people who knew you when you were young'
This is one of my many favourite lines and seemed rather apt for this weeks challenge. Most of my closest girlfriends now live all over the world and it is difficult to stay in touch: this lyric reminds me why it is so important.

Until next time [whenever that may be!]

the day that julie came to play...

okay, so the first post didn't include any pictures, that would have been far to extravagant. *lie* the real reason is it would have taken me far to long to decide which pictures to include.
Having made such a difficult decision I have gone with something that illustrates how much fun one can have with friends and little bottles of ink...

Mid playtime a rather large and uninvited guest joined us on the window... those of you with a nervous disposition should look away now!

More (pretty and less disturbing) pictures to come soon I promise!
