Gothic Arches challenge #3...

The weeks appear to be flying by and already Gothic Arches is up to it's 3rd challenge.
This current one is to the theme of 'bedecked and beribboned'.
[Gothic Arches #3. Bedecked and beribboned].

Strangely enough I spent some time at the weekend sorting through my ribbon collection and was waiting for an appropriate project to use them on. Ta Da! As if by magic there it was. The background is created with my short lengths of ribbon which were then machine stitched into place with a triple straight stitch and a cross stitch. I sprayed the completed background with glimmer mist which led me to thinking about raindrops; added the Maya Road transparent girl backed with text paper and finished off with an American Crafts chipboard umbrella. The gems are from the £1 shop and add just the right amount of bling to finish of the piece.
My sketchbook of arches is slowly filling up. Pop back in a couple of weeks time to see the next one.
